More than 2,000 international emergency responders and 140 search dogs have been deployed to Venezuela, as the death toll from Wednesday’s earthquakes rose to over 1,400.

A US official said the military detected Iranian drones in the region but they did not reach their targets.

In a statement issued on Friday, US Central Command (CENTCOM) said American forces targeted Iranian missile and drone storage facilities, along with coastal radar installations.

Iran said that it had attacked several American military sites in the Middle East in retaliation for earlier American strikes.
